Their son Aquila was listed as living with them.8 John McComas was signer of the Oath of Allegiance to Maryland in 1778.7 He was a Harford County Grand Juror in 1779.7 He died between 12 August 1816 and 12 June 1820.4

     John McComas, son of Daniel MacComus and Elizabeth (?),, was born on 4 July 1687.3 John McComas was the son of Daniel MacComus and Elizabeth (?).1,2 John McComas executed a land record where Thomas Browne executed the deed transfer for Brown's Chance to Daniel MacComus, acknowledging the indenture from 7 years prior. This was done at the request of John McComas -- Daniel's son and heir of law. on 16 March 1699 at Anne Arundel County, Maryland.4 He executed a land record where Thomas Browne's wife Catherine relinquished her dower rights to Brown's Chance on 19 March 1705 at Anne Arundel County, Maryland.4 On 23 May 1710 John McComas purchased land consisting of 182 acres portion of "Littleton" from Stephen Gill of Anne Arundel County, given to him by Thomas Thurston, in exchange for 98 acres known as "Brown's Chance", which was located on the south side of the Severn River at Baltimore County, Maryland.5,6 He married Ann Delap circa 1712.1,2,3 On 27 November 1712 John McComas conveyed land consisting of 90 acre portion of "Littleton" to William McComas at Baltimore County, Maryland.6,7 On 4 November 1714 John McComas conveyed land consisting of 92 acres, the upper part of Littleton, to John Norrington at Baltimore County, Maryland. Eventually this land would pass through several hands and end up owned by his nephew, James McComas.6,7 On 2 June 1724 Abraham Whitaker conveyed land consisting of 32 acres of "The Enlargement", later known as "Whitacre's Enlargement" to John McComas at Baltimore County, Maryland.8 On 9 June 1726 John McComas and Ann Delap conveyed land consisting of a 20 acre portion of "Come By Chance", originally purchased by Ann's first husband, William Love, to William Bradford, in exchange for a 20 acre portion of "Enlargement" at Baltimore County, Maryland.9 On 6 June 1728 John McComas and Ann Delap conveyed land consisting of a 80 acre portion of "Come By Chance", now know as "Ruff's Enlargement", to Richard Ruff at Baltimore County, Maryland.10 On 5 September 1731 John McComas and Ann Delap conveyed land consisting of a 1 acre portion of "Come By Chance" to Issac Webster for use as a mill at Baltimore County, Maryland.11 John McComas died on 22 May 1739 at age 51.2,3 His estate was probated on 24 June 1740, with Ann Delap as Executor. The heir(s) was/were an unknown person . Also mentioned were William Bradford Sr and Hannah Deaver.12

     John McComas, son of William McComas and Hannah (?),, was born on 15 September 1736.2,1,3 John McComas was the son of William McComas and Hannah (?).1 John McComas was named an heir in the will, dated 21 September 1747, of William McComas, his father, to receive half of the dwelling plantation along with part of LITTLETON.2,4 On 13 May 1760 John McComas purchased land from John Watkins Junior, and his wife Hester, of Anne Arundel County, consisting of a 100 acre part of the tract known as Ann's Dowry for 50 pounds current money of Maryland. The land was located on Bnam's run near the head of the Bush River, near land owned by Thomas Thurston. John Watkins inherited the land as heir of Elizabeth Carpenter, widow of Capt John Carpenter of Annapolis. The same day, his brother Solomon, purchased an adjoining portion of the same tract.5 He married Salina (?) circa 1761.2 John McComas witnessed the will of Daniel McComas after 2 September 1765.6,4 John McComas was in military service on 30 September 1775 as a private in Captain Bradford's Co. No.13.7 He and Salina (?) lived in 1776 at Bush River Lower Hundred, Harford County, Maryland.2 John McComas was signer of the Oath of Allegiance to Maryland in 1778.7 He was listed in the tax record of on 24 February 1778 at Gunpowder Upper Hundred, Harford County, Maryland.8 He was a Harford County Grand Juror in 1780.7 He died in January 1826 at age 89.3

     Louis Emory McComas, son of Frederick Christian McComas and Catherine Angle,, was born on 28 October 1846 at Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland.1 Louis Emory McComas was the son of Frederick Christian McComas and Catherine Angle. Louis Emory McComas married Mary Goodloe circa 1866. Louis Emory McComas was Republican congressman from Maryland in the House of Representatives between 1883 and 1891.1 He was Senator from Maryland between 1899 and 1905.1 He died on 11 November 1907 at District of Columbia at age 61.1 He was buried after 11 November 1907 at Rose Hil Cemetery, Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland.1
