     William McComas, son of Frederick McComas and Susannah Onion,, was born on 19 September 1790.1,3 William McComas was the son of Frederick McComas and Susannah Onion.2 As of 1808, William McComas lived at 36 High St. He married Ellen Fort, daughter of John Fort and Elizabeth Beachem, in 1815.1,3 As of 1819, William McComas lived at Park Lane. He was Superintendent of Sweeps. He was engaged in manufacture in 1820.4 In 1820, William McComas and Ellen Fort appeared on the Federal Census of Ward 12, Baltimore City, Maryland, listed as having a household of 2 males under 10 , 1 male 26-45, 2 females 10-16(unknown) and 1 female 16-26. Their children Henry Gough and William Keyser were listed as living with them.4 William McComas and Ellen Fort were deeded a 4-acre plot of ground to the Mountain Christian Church to build their first Church structure. in 1847.5 William McComas died on 2 August 1857 at age 66.3 He was buried after 2 August 1857 at Mountain Christian Church Cemetery, Joppa, Harford County, Maryland.3

     William McComas, son of Daniel MacComus and Elizabeth (?),, was born on 16 October 1689.3,4,5 William McComas was the son of Daniel MacComus and Elizabeth (?).1,2 On 27 November 1712 John McComas conveyed land consisting of 90 acre portion of "Littleton" to William McComas at Baltimore County, Maryland.6,7 He married Hannah (?) in 1715.1,3 On 18 June 1729 William McComas purchased land consisting of 500 acres known as "Gresham's College", originally patented by John Gresham, from Solomon and Sarah Wooden. Note: Solomon Wooden is not recorded as the owner until 10 Oct 1733 when he received it from Richard Gresham.2,8 On 8 March 1745 William McComas purchased land consisting of 195 acre portion of "Gresham's College" from Solomon and Sarah Wooden (of Anne Arundel County) at Baltimore County, Maryland.9 He left a will on 21 September 1747. The heir(s) was/were Daniel McComas, Solomon McComas, Moses McComas, Aaron McComas, William McComas, John McComas, Elizabeth McComas, Hannah McComas and Eleanor McComas.2,10 William McComas died before 30 January 1748.2,3,5 He died before 24 March 1749.10

     William McComas, son of William McComas and Hannah (?),, was born on 24 November 1727.1,2,3 William McComas was the son of William McComas and Hannah (?).1 William McComas was named an heir in the will, dated 21 September 1747, of William McComas, his father, to receive half of the dwelling plantation along with part of LITTLETON.2,4 William McComas executed a land record leased from Lords Baltimore: MacComas's Manor (200 acres) in 1749 at Baltimore County, Maryland.5 On 6 September 1753 William McComas conveyed land consisting of the remaining lease on 100 acres of a 200 acre tract known as "McComas' Manor" to John Poteet at Baltimore County, Maryland.6 William McComas died before 7 April 1757.1,2 He left a will on 7 April 1757; for an estate appraised at 20.1.1 pounds.4

John Hall, Jacob Giles, and Isaac Webster, assignees of Col. Thomas White at Baltimore County, Maryland.7 William McComas executed a land record to purchase the lease of "Collin's First Shift", part of His Lordship's Reserve, for 50 pounds, from William Fow, who had received it from Robert Collinson on 5 Sept 1745, who in turn had leased it from Benjamin Fasker (agent for the Lord of Baltimore) on 16 Aug 1742 for 99 years with yearly rent of 10 shillings sterling. on 19 May 1746 at Baltimore County, Maryland.8,9 On 19 May 1746 William McComas and Hannah Deaver conveyed land consisting of a 49 acre portion of "Come By Chance" and a 32 acre portion of "Whitacre's Enlargement" to Col. No. 13.10 He was in military service in 1776 as a Captain, 8th Battalion, Militia.10 He was signer of the Association of Freemen for Bush River Upper in 1776.10 He was listed in the tax record of in 1778 at Eden Hundred, portion that was Bush River Upper Hundred until 1777, Harford County, Maryland.11 He was took the Oath of Fidelity (Oath of Allegiance to Maryland) before Abraham Whitaker on 24 March 1778.12 He was a Harford County Petit Juror in 1783.10 He married Hannah Bond, daughter of Thomas Bond Jr and Elizabeth Scott, before June 1784.1,2,4 Captain William McComas married Mary McComas on 14 February 1797 at Baltimore County, Maryland.1,6,13,4 In 1800, Captain William McComas and Mary McComas appeared on the Federal Census of Maryland listed as having of a household of 2 males under 10, 1 male 26-44 (William), 1 female under 10, and 1 female 26-44 (Mary).14 Captain William McComas died on 25 May 1815 at age 76; froze to death in a snowstorm.1,2,4
