He was killed while riding a motorcycle with his wife; a truck ran a stop-sign and killed them instantly. (According to memory of Catherine E. Holtzner, supported by Marker in Trinity Church Graveyard showing same date of death).1 He was buried after 26 June 1955 at Trinity Church Cemetery, Manchester, Carroll County, Maryland.1

      Leah Deagen was also known as Dagen.1 She was born on 18 September 1837 at Seven Valleys, York County, Pennsylvania.2 She married Jesse Sterner, son of John Sterner Sr. and Elizabeth Kessler, circa 1854. As of circa 1854,her married name was Sterner. In June 1860,Leah Deagen and Jesse Sterner appeared on the Federal Census of Codorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania, listed as owning no real estate, but having $643 in personal property. Their children Edward D., Jacob Deagan, Priscilla Irene and Conrad D. were listed as living with them.3 In 1880,Leah Deagen and Jesse Sterner appeared on the Federal Census of Codorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. Their children Estella May, Nathan D., Priscilla Irene, Wesley D. and William D. were listed as living with them.4 Leah Deagen died on 7 December 1889 at age 52.2 She was buried after 7 December 1889 at Greenmount Cemetery, Codorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania.2

     John Deaver, son of Thomas Deaver and Deborah Hartley,, was born on 25 October 1735.1 John Deaver was the son of Thomas Deaver and Deborah Hartley.1,2 As of 1747, John Deaver was also known as McComas.1 On 20 March 1757 John Deaver conveyed land to Alexander McComas consisting of 32 acres being part of three tracts of land called Strawberry Hills, Turkey Hills, and Deaver's Addition, for 15 pounds of common money. The land was located on the east side of James Run on the head of the Bush River. John Deaver had gotten the land from his father, Thomas Deaver, who purchased it from his gandfather, John Deaver.3 John Deaver was baptized on 21 August 1796.1 He died in 1826.1

     John Deaver was born circa 1666.1 He married Hannah (?) circa 1686.1 John Deaver lived in 1703 at Baltimore County, Maryland.1 On 5 April 1705 John Deaver had land surveyed consisting of a 133 acre portion of "Broken Islands", now known as "Deaver's Endeavor" at Baltimore County, Maryland.2 On 10 June 1706 John Deaver obtained a land patent for consisting of a 133 acre portion of "Broken Islands", now known as "Deaver's Endeavor" at Baltimore County, Maryland.3 On 30 March 1713 John Deaver and Hannah (?) conveyed land consisting of a 93 acre portion of "Deaver's Endeavor", which as part of "Broken Islands" to Richard Deaver at Baltimore County, Maryland.2 On 20 November 1729 John Deaver and Hannah (?) conveyed land consisting of a 20 acre portion of "Deaver's Endeavor" to Richard Deaver at Baltimore County, Maryland.4 On 3 March 1730 John Deaver and Hannah (?) conveyed land consisting of a 50 acre portion of "Turkey Hills" and a portion of "Strawberry Hills" to Benjamin Jones at Baltimore County, Maryland.5 John Deaver was a carpenter on 2 November 1731.6 On 2 November 1731 John Deaver and Hannah (?) conveyed land consisting of a 200 acre portion of "Strawberry Hills" and a 17 acre portion of "Deaver's Addition" to Thomas Deaver at Baltimore County, Maryland.7 On 23 November 1731 John Deaver and Hannah (?) conveyed land consisting of a portion of "Deaver's Addition" and a portion of "Turkey Hills" to Richard Ruff at Baltimore County, Maryland.8
