He married Susan about 1845.1 In 1860 Jesse Hare was a farmer.1 He and Susan appeared in the census in 1860 in Manchester, Carroll County, Maryland, listed as owning $2500 in real estate and $300 in personal property. Mary Hare, John Hare, Martha Hare, and William H Hare were living in the household with their parents.1 In 1878 Jesse Hare was a farmer in Manchester, Carroll County, Maryland.2 He died of pneumonia on 17 January 1901 in Carroll County, Maryland, at age 81.3 He was buried after 17 January 1901 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hampstead, Carroll County, Maryland.
