William Le Grand Jacob was born in 1928.1 He was educated in 1945 and graduated from the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.2 He registered for military service before 1954 served as a naval pilot in the Korean hostilities.2 He married Rhonda McComas on 6 May 1954 at Protestant Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest in New York, New York.1,2 He registered for military service in 1954 as a Lieut. in the Royal Navy and as aide de camp to Air Chief Marshal Sir William Elliot in Washington.2
