Abraham Whitaker was born on 1 August 1737.1 He married Elizabeth Wheeler on 31 December 1771.2 On 2 January 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 16 January 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland, and appointed as one of the gentlemen for Bush River Upper Hundred to collect from the inhabitants either contributions for the Relief of the Poor in Boston or for the purchase of arms and ammunition.3 On 23 January 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 22 February 1775, Abraham Whitaker was elected to the Harford County Committee as a representative for in Bush River Upper Hundred, Harford County, Maryland.3 On 22 March 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 22 March 1775, Abraham Whitaker was a signer of the Bush Declaration, which was signed by 34 duly elected citizens in Harford County, Maryland. This committee decided to show their support for Boston and their disdain for King George by signing the document at the risk of their lives and fortunes. It has been characterized as the first Declaration of Independence, and was signed just 3 weeks prior to the Battles of Lexington and Concord which signaled the beginning of the American Revolution.4,5,3 On 1 May 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 17 May 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 1 June 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 12 September 1775, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Harford County Committee in Harford County, Maryland. At this meeting, the committee was dissolved.3 On 27 November 1776, Abraham Whitaker was elected to the Committee of Observation in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 4 February 1777, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Committee of Observation in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 17 February 1777, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Committee of Observation in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 10 March 1777, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Committee of Observation in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 10 March 1777, Abraham Whitaker was permitted to bring his action of a plea of trespass against James Trew in Harford County, Maryland.3 On 25 March 1777, Abraham Whitaker was present at the meeting of the Committee of Observation in Harford County, Maryland.3 He died in 1784 in Harford County, Maryland, at age ~47.

Frances Brown was also known as Frances Whitaker.1 She was born about 1696.1 She married Peter Whitaker on 10 January 1722.1,2 On 6 March 1722, Peter Whitaker and Frances Brown sold land to William Bradford, Sr, known as "The Enlargement" (1/2 of the tract being 64 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland.3,1 On 28 June 1740, Peter Whitaker and Frances Brown sold land to Solomon Gallion known as "Whitacre's Ridge" (a 50 acre portion), now known as "Whitacre's Venture", in Baltimore County, Maryland.3
