Alexander McComas was born on 14 September 1692 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.2,3,4 He married Elizabeth Day on 15 November 1713 in Baltimore County, Maryland.1,5,6,7,2,3,4 On 4 November 1720, Joshua Merriken and Dinah Day sold land known as "Horse Range" (100 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, to Alexander McComas for 5200 pounds of tobacco.8 On 29 December 1720, Alexander McComas had land surveyed known as "Timber Hall" (100 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, which he then conveyed to William Hitchcock.8 On 1 May 1724, Alexander McComas and Elizabeth Day sold land to John Norris known as "Macedon(ia)" (100 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, for 3000 pounds of tobacco. "Macedon" was located at the head of Bush River and on the west side of Winter's Run. Alexander McComas married Hannah Whitaker on 23 August 1728 in Baltimore County, Maryland.1,5,6,7,3 On 8 June 1743, Alexander McComas sold land to Josius Middlemore, the local doctor, for 2500 pounds of tobacco. "Edenborough" was located between Bynum's Run and Winter Run known as "Edenborough" (100 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland.2 On 17 April 1747, Alexander McComas purchased land known as "Ward's Purchase" (a 191 acre portion of the 201 acre total) in Baltimore County, Maryland, from William Dallam, adminstrator for John Ward, deceased, who originated a 99 year lease in 1742.8 On 8 January 1753, Alexander McComas sold land to Alexander McComas known as "Horses Range" (a 100 acre portion) in Baltimore County, Maryland.2 Alexander McComas made a will on 18 October 1760. Aquila McComas, Hannah Whitaker, Mary McComas, Alexander McComas, and Daniel McComas were named as heirs. Sarah McComas, Elizabeth McComas, Hannah McComas, David McComas, and Priscilla McComas were mentioned in the will. Daniel McComas and John Poteet were witnesses to the will.9,2 Alexander McComas died before 4 February 1761 in Baltimore County, Maryland.5,2,3,4 He made a will on 26 April 1762. Jacob Miles, Richard Rhodes, Jr, John Whitaker, Aquila McComas, Elizabeth McComas, Thomas Simmons, and Mary McComas were named as heirs.2

Hannah Whitaker was also known as Hannah McComas.1,2 She was also known as Hannah Miles.2,3 She was born about 1704.1,2 She was mentioned in the will of John Whitaker, her father, dated on 9 November 1713.2 She married Alexander McComas on 23 August 1728 in Baltimore County, Maryland.1,2,4,5,6 On 18 October 1760, Hannah Whitaker was named as an heir in the will of Alexander McComas, her husband, to receive chattles, land, etc. The other heirs were Aquila McComas, Mary McComas, Alexander McComas, and Daniel McComas.7,3 On 17 June 1761, Aquila McComas purchased land from Hannah Whitaker known as "Elender's Delight" (50 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, who was executrix for Alexander McComas, both of Baltimore County, for 25 pounds 11 shillings Sterling. The land was leased from Lord Baltimore by Alexander McComas on 2 May 1746 for a term of 99 years.8 She married Thomas Miles before 26 April 1762.2,3,6 She died after 1762.6

Aquila was the brother of John's wife's (Ann's) first husband, and the first cousin of William McComas, who had signed the lease over to John.8 He died between 17 September 1771 and 21 October 1771 in Baltimore County, Maryland.3,4,2

Aquila Amos McComas and Sarah McComas were living in the household with their parents.10 James McComas died on 15 February 1794.2,3

Ward leased it from Benjamin Tasker (agent for Lord Baltimore) on 1 Sept 1742 from his Lordship's Reserve for 99 years for the yearly rent of 1 pound 1 penny farthing sterling.5 On 8 January 1753, Alexander McComas sold land known as "Horses Range" (a 100 acre portion) in Baltimore County, Maryland, to Alexander McComas.4 On 18 October 1760, Alexander McComas was named as an heir in the will of Alexander McComas, his father, to receive a tract named HORSE RANGE. The other heirs were Aquila McComas, Hannah Whitaker, Mary McComas, and Daniel McComas.6,4 On 5 November 1761, Alexander McComas purchased land known as "Endingburg" (100 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, from John Paca, executor for Francis Middlemore, both of Baltimore County, for 25 pounds current money.5 He began military service on 30 September 1775 in Captain William Bradford's Company of the Harford County, Maryland Militia.7,8 In 1778 Alexander McComas was a signer of the Oath of Allegiance to Maryland.8 He died between 8 February 1790 and 8 April 1800 in Baltimore County, Maryland.4,3

Nicholas Day McComas was born about 1752 in Baltimore County, Maryland.1,2 He married Elizabeth Onion on 24 July 1794 in Baltimore County, Maryland.1,3,4,5 He and Elizabeth Onion obtained a licence to marry on 24 July 1794 in Baltimore County, Maryland.6 Between 1794 and 1795, Nicholas Day McComas was a Delegate in the Maryland House of Delegates for Harford County.7 Between 1797 and 1799, Nicholas Day McComas was a Delegate in the Maryland House of Delegates for Harford County.7 In March 1801, Nicholas Day McComas served on the grand jury in Harford County, Maryland.7 He died about 1816 in Harford County, Maryland.2
