William Smith was born about 1773.1 On 28 July 1800, William Smith was appointed a judge of election for the first district in Harford County, Maryland.3 He and Elizabeth McComas obtained a licence to marry on 10 August 1805 in Harford County, Maryland.4 He married Elizabeth McComas in 1805.1,2,5 He was in Military Service on 14 July 1814 as Colonel of the 42nd Regiment of the Maryland Militia.3 He was a Mason.3 He died of apoplectic stroke after 3 days of illness on 17 December 1835.3

General Washington stated that the regiment "behaved with great gallantry."5 In 1776 Captain William Bradford was solicitor of the Association of Freemen for Harford Upper.11 He was in Military Service between 1777 and 1779 and served as a Lieutenant initially in the 11th Virginia Regiment and later becoming part of the 4th Maryland Regiment.5 On 28 March 1780, Captain William Bradford served on the grand jury in Harford County, Maryland.5 About 1780, Captain William Bradford was vestryman in St. John's Parish, Baltimore County, Maryland.5 In August 1785, Captain William Bradford served on the grand jury in Harford County, Maryland.5 He died on 12 February 1794 at age ~55.3,2,10,4,5
