Biography
Nicholas Day was born about 1640.1,2 He migrated on 22 February 1658 by selling himself into "slave bondage" in return for "ship transportation" to the New World. He was bound to Richard Owens, who later granted him his freedom and notified the Crown of England that he was entitled to 50 acres of land.3,2 He married Sarah about 1688.4 On 6 June 1693, Nicholas Day purchased land known as "Horse Range" (200 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, from Thomas Richardson and wife Rachel.1 On 6 June 1693, Nicholas Day purchased land known as "William the Conqueror" (200 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, located at Gunpowder Falls for 1200 pounds of tobacco.2 On 5 November 1693, Nicholas Day purchased land known as "Lesser Chance" (150 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, from Thomas Bruins of Baltimore County for 3,000 pounds of tobacco.1,2 He made a will on 1 December 1704 in Baltimore County, Maryland, when he was sick and weak in body but perfect strength and memory. The executor was Sarah. Elizabeth Day, Dinah Day, Nicholas Day, and Sarah Day were named as heirs. Edward Day was mentioned in the will.4,2 Nicholas Day died in 1704/05.1,4

Thomas Bond was born about 1683.1 He married Ann Robertson about 1700.1,2,3 In 1703, Thomas Bond obtained a land patent known as "Knave's Misfortune" (73 acres) which was adjacent to his father's property, and upon which he built a substantial brick dwelling.3,4 On 6 April 1705, Peter Bond left land known as "Harris' Trust" (100 acres to each of his 3 youngest sons as tenants in life, 300 acres in total), in Baltimore County, Maryland, to Thomas Bond, William Bond, and John Bond.1 In 1710, Thomas Bond was a member of the grand jury which protested against the move of the County Seat from Forks of Gunpowder to Joppa.3 In 1714, Thomas Bond obtained a land patent known as "Bond's Forest" (3100 acres) lying between Bynum's run and the Little Gunpowder Falls.2,3 On 9 December 1718, Thomas Bond and Ann Robertson sold land to Thomas Preston known as "Antioch" (214 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland.1 In 1731, Thomas Bond obtained a land patent known as "Bond's Manor" (5000 acres) on the west side of the Susquehanna river.3,2 On 31 December 1736, Thomas Bond purchased land known as "Poplar Neck" (1000 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, from Richard Dorsey and his wife Elizabeth for 130 pounds. The land was originally patented 10 Sep 1684 by Mark Richardson, who sold it to William Nicholson on 10 Nov 1703. It was then passed on to his son and daughter-in-law, William and Elizabeth on 28 Dec 1731. Elizabeth later married Richard Dorsey.1 In 1739, Thomas Bond sold land to Captain Thomas Cresap known as "Bond's Manor" (a portion) in Baltimore County, Maryland.2,3 On 24 July 1746, Thomas Bond sold land to Thomas Bond, Jr, known as "Francis' Delight" (100 acres), "Bond's Choice" (216 acres), and "Good Neighborhood" (a 122 acre portion), in Baltimore County, Maryland.1 Thomas Bond executed a land record regarding "Bond's Forest" (a portion including a house already built which was intended for a meeting house and became the Quakers' Little Falls Meeting and also a schoolhouse already built) to John Bond and Thomas Bond, Jr,, as trustees, in 1749.2,3 On 8 November 1752, Thomas Bond sold land to Jacob Bond known as "Poplar Neck" (500 of the total 1000 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland.1 Thomas Bond died in 1755 in Baltimore County, Maryland.2,3

He migrated to Maryland in 1660.2,3,4 He married Alice about 1682.1 On 16 May 1688, Peter Bond had land surveyed known as "Bond's Forest" (301 acres) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.5 On 11 December 1691, Peter Bond purchased land known as "Prosperity" (150 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland, from Rebecca Lightfoot (widow) which were patented in 1684, for 2,200 pounds of tobacco.6,5 In 1691, Peter Bond obtained a land patent known as "Harris' Trust" (300 acres) in Baltimore County, Maryland.4,5 On 6 June 1692, Peter Bond and Alice purchased land in Baltimore County, Maryland, consisting of 140 acres in exchange for 200 acres, from Thomas Hedge. Both parcels were on the Bush River.6 On 1 November 1692, Peter Bond and Alice purchased land in Baltimore County, Maryland, consisting of 200 acres in exchange for 140 acres, from Thomas Hedge. Both parcels were on the Bush River.6 On 6 April 1705, Peter Bond left land known as "Harris' Trust" (100 acres to each of his 3 youngest sons as tenants in life, 300 acres in total), in Baltimore County, Maryland, to Thomas Bond, William Bond, and John Bond.1 Peter Bond died in 1705.4
