His future brother-in-law Johann Michael KLINEFELTER was on the same ship.1,5 He married Catharine about 1762.1,2 In 1763, John Gerberich and Catharine lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 He registered for military service between 1777 and 1781 as a Private, 8th Company and in Captain Thomas Coppenhaver's Company, 6th Battalion, and in Baptain Bradley's Ninth Battalion, in the Lancaster County PA Militia.2 In 1782, John Gerberich and Catharine lived in Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.1 He made a will on 26 April 1805 in West Hanover Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. In general, his wife got the plantation for 8 years, after which, it was to be assessed. At that time, any of his sons could have the place by paying the other children for their shares. Otherwise it was to be sold to the highest bidder with the money handled as follows: If his wife was still alive, 170 pounds were to be set aside so she could get the interest on it each year for her maintenance, with the rest divided equally among his children after all debts were paid. John Gerberich, Catharine, Andrew Gerberich, Catharine Gerberich, Daniel Gerberich, Elisabeth Gerberich, George Gerberich, Gretha Gerberich, Jacob Gerberich, Leonard Gerberich, Margaret Gerberich, Maria Gerberich, Maria Elisabeth Gerberich, Peter Gerberich, Phillip Gerberich, and Susanna Gerberich were named as heirs.6 John Gerberich died about May 1805 in Hanover, York County, Pensylvania.2 On 12 June 1805, his will was proved.6
