Swope's Battalion in the York County Militia for 3 months. He marched from York to Lancaster, and then to Philadelphia, Trenton, and Brunswick. He then marched to Amboy and Newark.1,2 He ended military service in October 1776 in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, being honorably discharged.1,2 In 1779, George Bailey lived in Shrewsbury Township, York County, Pennsylvania, with 100 acres, 2 horses, and 1 head of cattle.1 He married Margaretha Gerberich about 1780 in York County, Pennsylvania.1 In 1780, George Bailey lived in Shrewsbury Township, York County, Pennsylvania, with 100 acres, 2 horses, and 3 head of cattle.1 In 1781, George Bailey lived in Shrewsbury Township, York County, Pennsylvania, with 100 acres, 2 horses, and 3 head of cattle.1 He registered for military service about September 1782 when he was drafted again and served in Captain Furry's Company under Major Austin. She is the first cousin of Johann Georg Ruhl who married Heinrich's sister Anna Rosina.1 She was a sponsor at the baptism of Heinrich Kleinfelter, her cousin, on 13 September 1786 in St. Jacob's.1 In 1828, Heinrich Ruhl and Margaretha Barbara Bailey lived in Sandusky Township, Richland County, Ohio, moving there along with Margaretha's sister Anna Rosina Bailey Ruhl's family. During the trip, they cut a portion of the road to Mansfield Ohio and after their arrival lived in a covered wagon until they cleared a site to build a cabin.1 She died after January 1830 in Richland County, Ohio.1 She was buried after January 1830.
