Andrew Gerberich was born on 17 July 1734 in Spessart, Altfeld Bei Marktheidenfeld, Bavaria, Germany.1,2,3 He migrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from Rotterdam, Netherlands, on 1 October 1754 on the ship "Phoenix", captained by John Spurrier.3 He married Barbara Babb in 1758 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.1,3 In 1769, Andrew Gerberich and Barbara Babb lived in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.1 He registered for military service between 1776 and 1779 as a volunteer in Captain Timothy Green's Battalion of Hanover Rifles (1776), and the Lancaster County Militia, 6th Battalon, 3rd company (1778-1779.)4 On 25 January 1789, Andrew Gerberich was listed as one who contributed to the parsonage (3 pounds, 15 shillings) at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jonestown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.5 He died in 1795 at age ~61.1,2 He was buried in 1795 at Walmers Church Cemetery in Annville, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.2

Biography
Catharine was also known as Catharine Gerberich.1 She was born about 1750.1,2 She married John Gerberich about 1762.1,2 In 1763, John Gerberich and Catharine lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 In 1782, John Gerberich and Catharine lived in Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.1 On 26 April 1805, in West Hanover Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, Catharine was named as an heir in the will of John Gerberich, allowed to live their house for the rest of her life or until she remarried; and received her bed, bedstead, and chest; another bed and bedstead, her spinning wheel, all the cloth she can make this year; her saddle and bridle; her choice of 2 milk cows, 2 nags, and 2 sheep; 1 iron pot, a set of iron ladles, a kitchen pan, a dripping pan, a pewter dish, a pewter platter, 6 pewter plates, 6 pewter spoons, 2 buckets, a bucking tub, a tub with a peg, and a churn. She was also granted the right to sole possession of the plantation, with all its profits, for 8 years, as long as she did no damage, kept the fences mended, paid the taxes, maintained the children, sent the children to the German School to learn and for the boys to learn to write, and did whatever repairs were necessary to the house and barn, together with John Gerberich, Andrew Gerberich, Catharine Gerberich, Daniel Gerberich, Elisabeth Gerberich, George Gerberich, Gretha Gerberich, Jacob Gerberich, Leonard Gerberich, Margaret Gerberich, Maria Gerberich, Maria Elisabeth Gerberich, Peter Gerberich, Phillip Gerberich, and Susanna Gerberich.3 Catharine died about August 1833 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.2

Margaretha Berge was also known as Margaretha Gerberich.1 She was also known as Margaretha Ruhl.1 She was born about 1735.1 She married Clement Ruhl about 1755.1 She was the mother at the baptism of Heinrich Ruhl on 30 March 1777.1,2 She married Peter Gerberich between 30 March 1777 and 1 April 1778.1 She was a sponsor at the baptism of Margaret Merckel on 6 June 1788 at Friedensaal (Schuster's/White) Lutheran Church in Springfield Township, York County, Pennsylvania.3 Peter Gerberich and Margaretha Berge appeared in the census in 1790 in Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania, listed as having a household of 1 white male aged 16 or older (Peter), 2 white males under 16 (sons Georg Peter and Jacob), and 6 females (wife Margaretha, and daughters Maria Elisabeth, Catherina, Susanna, Barbara, and Eve). Barbara Gerberich, Catherina Gerberich, Eve Gerberich, Georg Peter Gerberich, Jacob Gerberich, Maria Elisabeth Gerberich, and Susanna Gerberich were living in the household with their parents.4 Margaretha Berge died in December 1800 in Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania.1 Peter Gerberich and she appeared in the census in 1800 listed as having in the household 1 white male 16-25 (son Jacob), 1 white male over 45 (Peter), 1 white female 16-25 (daughter Barbara) and 2 white females over 45 (wife Margaretha and either daughter Maria Elisabeth or Catherina).
