Sterner and Christena Werner.3 Ezra Sterner married Olie May Gladfelter on 26 April 1904 in York, York County, Pennsylvania.4 He and Olie May Gladfelter obtained a licence to marry on 26 April 1904 in York County, Pennsylvania.5 He died on 6 August 1970 at age 88.1 He was buried after 6 August 1970 at Zion (Shaffer's) Church Cemetery in Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania.1

Henry Sterner

Biography
Henry Sterner was born on 27 March 1838.1 He registered for military service on 29 June 1863 in Emmitsburg, Frederick County, Maryland, as a private in Company K of 151 regiment, infantry, of Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was left sick near Emmetsburg in the march to Gettysburg.2 He registered for military service on 4 July 1863 in Emmitsburg, Frederick County, Maryland, and was captured by the rebels as they retreated from Gettysburg. Hardly able to walk, he was compelled with other prisoners, to march to Richmond, VA.2 He registered for military service after 4 July 1863 in Belle Island, Richmond, Virginia, where he was confined for 72 days without any shelter and with only enough food to keep him a living skelton. When he returned home, he was so emaciated and weak that he could hardly stand on his own feet, and could not speak above a whisper. He gradually recovered but never fully.2 He died on 8 July 1901 at age 63.1 He was buried after 8 July 1901 at St. Paul's (Wolf's) Church Cemetery in W. Manchester Township, York County, Pennsylvania.1
