Don Booze was born on 24 March 1898.2,3,4 On 12 September 1918, Don Booze lived at Boruford Ridge Rd/Hill Top Park in Mt Washington, Baltimore City, Maryland.4 On 12 September 1918 Don Booze was an expert stenographer with the War Risk Bureau in Washington DC.4 He was described as tall, slender build, with blue eyes and brown hair on 12 September 1918.4 He was educated at University of Maryland law school between 1919 and 1920 and was a graduate. His yearbook entry showed his nickname as "July First", and read: "Poor Don Booze! Since July 1, 1919, you have never had a show, and even Judge Rose once remarked: 'Here now, but not for long.' It is sure a cruel way to treat a nice little boy like Don, but fortunately he is good-natured and doesn't mind. In spite of his conspicuous name, Don has always been a quiet fellow, who attended strictly to business, which is the spirit that wins -- at least, according to the books. His good nature has already been alluded to, and he carries a quiet air of seriousness, mixed with the redeeming sense of humor, which makes him good company and a pleasant classmate. Too much aloofness has its faults -- Don-Mix in, even if we can't all be 'Billy the Mixer,' like our esteemed Mayor. However, gentle reader, don't misunderstand this, for we don't mean that Don is swell-headed or exclusive, or anything like that; it is merely that he devotes himself a little too seriously to business. However, his attention to business will reap its own reward. So the Class hopes for and expects great success for you, Don."2,5 In 1920, Don Booze appeared on the census at Denmore Ave in Baltimore City, Maryland, in the household of his parents, Dr William Booze and Mary, listed as in school.3 In 1923, Don Booze lived at University Apts.6 In 1923 Don Booze was a stenographer for the Custom House.6 In 1926, Don Booze lived at St. Paul Court.6 In 1926 Don Booze was a lawyer.6 In 1930, Don Booze lived at 199 Prince George.6 In 1930 Don Booze was a stenographer for the US Customs Service in Baltimore.6 He married Lydia Romaine Roberts about 1945.7 In 1956 Don Booze was an administrative assistant for the US Customs Service in Baltimore.6 In 1956, Don Booze lived at 3833 Keswick Rd.6 In 1958 Don Booze was an administrative assistant for the US Customs Service in Baltimore.6 In 1958, Don Booze lived at 3833 Keswick Rd.6 Before 1964 Don Booze was an administrative assistant to the head of the US Customs Service in Baltimore, and retired in 1964 after 41 years with the Customs Service.2 Before August 1992, Don Booze lived at Keswick Rd.2 In August 1992, Don Booze lived in Hanover, York County, Pensylvania.2 He was a native of Washington who was reared in Baltimore.2 He died of a stroke on 3 February 1993 at Hanover General Hospital in Hanover, York County, Pensylvania, at age 94.7,2 Funeral services were conducted on 6 February 1993 at Lemmon-Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, 10 W Padonia Road, in Timonium, Baltimore County, Maryland.2
