Derr.6,7,4,8 On 4 June 1895, Shelman Hallie Harris lived in Carroll County, Maryland, prior to being married.9 In 1900 Shelman Hallie Harris was a farm laborer.10 He and Rovilla A. Hare appeared in the census in 1900 in 8th District, Baltimore County, Maryland. Frank S or G Harris, Mamie May Harris, Viola R. Harris, and Sadie M. Harris were living in the household with their parents.10 As of 1900, Shelman Hallie Harris and Rovilla A. On 3 November 1799 Catherine Hare attended communion at Zion Lutheran Church in Manchester, Carroll County, Maryland.2 On 25 December 1806 Catherine Hare was a communicant at St. Abraham's (Shaver) Lutheran Church in Beckleysville, Baltimore County, Maryland.3 She was mentioned in the will of Christophel Hare, her father, dated on 1 September 1809 in Baltimore County, Maryland.4 She was mentioned in the will of Elizabetha Caleboch, her mother, dated in 1815 in Baltimore County, Maryland.4

Josiah Feather was also known as Josiah Feder. He was also known as Josiah Fedder. He was also known as Josiah Fetter. He was born on 8 January 1830.2,3 He married Mary Ann about 1855. In 1860 Josiah Feather was a farm laborer.2 He and Mary Ann appeared in the census in 1860 in Clairville, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, listed living with no children, and having no real estate and $100 of personal property.2 He registered for military service on 24 October 1861. He enlisted as Private in Company A of the 84th PA Infantry.4 He registered for military service after 24 October 1861. He enlisted as a Private in Company G of the 91st PA Infantry.4
