She was killed while riding a motorcycle with her husband when a truck ran a stop-sign and killed them instantly. (According to memory of Catherine E. Holtzner, supported by Marker in Trinity Church Graveyard showing same date of death).2 She was buried after 26 June 1955 at Trinity Church Cemetery in Manchester, Carroll County, Maryland.2
